Kiss the frog

On this lovely brass Necklace a little treefrog is depicted on a heart shaped Leaf.

The pendant you see here measures roughly 2 by 2cm/0.78”by 0.78”. Included is a brass chain in a length of 45cm.

Please note that although it is cast, there will be slight variations as some of them have more of a copper sheen to them than others on the base where the Frog is touching the leaf.

It was originally created from Polymer clay which has then been sent off to be cast in brass.

From when I was very little frogs would fascinate me. I loved how they morphed from tadpole into their mature form and most of all when they turned into this itty bitty little frogs. It is a more tangible metamorphosis than the one from caterpillar to butterfly, but nonetheless fascinating.

The pendant I made in recognition of them has roughly the size I remember them to be. It is cast on solid brass which admittedly is a great deal heavier than tiny frogs usually are, but it is a very nice weight for wearing.
