This meticulously handcrafted so-called smooth newt sprouted its colourful watercoat and elegantly floats in the water-like environment of its little home.

The bulb measures approximately 30mm/1,18”, the base measures 36mm/1,18” and is made from beechwood. Included is a gold-plated box chain in various different length options and a display only option.

I’ve termed these little glass globes biospheres, as each of them hosts a little environment, which in this case is a tiny smooth newt sculpted from Beesputty, handpainted with acrylics. It sits on a base of modelling sand adorned with tiny rocks and adorned with dried leaves. I added a sturdy glass cap so you can wear this little critter around as you go about your day. There is a possibility of parts to break, if it gets dropped or shaken too much. So please be gentle with it.
